NMMSS 2026-27 applications get extended deadline

What happened

The Ministry of Education has pushed back the last date to apply for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme. The window opened on June 1, 2026, and applications go through the National Scholarship Portal.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• More places or more money than before.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or get a job.
• Affects students in India.
