Cardiff University offers fully funded social science PhD studentships for October 2027

What happened

Applications are open for WGSSS ESRC doctoral studentships across economics, business, linguistics and other social science areas. The deadline is 13 December 2026, and both UK and international students can apply.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• Approved, so it is now going ahead rather than being proposed.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or study abroad.
• Affects students in the UK.
