IIT JAM 2027 applications now close on October 19, exam on February 14

What happened

IIT Kharagpur extended the JAM 2027 registration deadline from October 12 to October 19. The exam, held in computer-based mode across about 114 Indian cities, gives access to 89 postgraduate programmes and over 3,000 seats at 23 IITs.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• More places or more money than before.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or get a job.
