UT Austin removes women's and gender studies from core curriculum

What happened

The University of Texas at Austin has cut women's and gender studies courses from its core curriculum. Students at the university will no longer find those courses among the core requirements they can take.

Why it may matter

• Fewer places or less money than before — plan around it.
• Useful if you are trying to get into university.
