Fulbright U.S. Student Program opens applications for 2027-2028

What happened

U.S. citizens can apply for fully funded graduate study, research and projects abroad. The national deadline is 6 October 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Applicants must pick a country award and meet its requirements.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• Approved, so it is now going ahead rather than being proposed.
• Useful if you are trying to study abroad or explore opportunities.
• Affects students in the US.
