IITs, IIITs and IISERs offer direct admission routes for Olympiad qualifiers

What happened

Most IITs give direct BTech admission to top Olympiad performers without JEE. IIITs, IISERs and ISI reserve seats and give preference to stage-2 and stage-3 qualifiers.

Why it may matter

• Rankings shape where students apply and how employers read a degree.
• Useful if you are trying to study abroad.
• Affects students in India.
