Karnataka MLC seeks continued food grants for 2,100 SC/ST students at University of Mysore

K Shivakumar asked the state to release pending funds and keep the food allowance for 2026-27. About 2,100 SC/ST students in 15 UoM hostels depend on it, with Rs 1,250 of the Rs 2,050 monthly cost covered by the Social Welfare department.
