What happened

Trained Home Guards volunteers domiciled in Meghalaya can apply offline for 558 part-time Guardsman posts. Applications go to District Home Guards Offices from 27 August to 28 September 2026. There is no fee and the maximum age is 50.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• Evidence rather than policy — useful for understanding a trend.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or get a job.
