From the archive: this story is no longer current.
What happened
No SFI, KSU or other candidates filed nominations by the September 17 deadline, so ABVP won all 12 posts unopposed. The union will be declared on September 29 under the Mahatma Gandhi University election process.
Why it may matter
- This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
- Evidence rather than policy — useful for understanding a trend.
