What happened

Students at Aligarh Muslim University blocked all four campus entry gates during an agitation for students' union elections, which have not been held in nearly eight years.

Why it may matter

• Results or an outcome have been published, so there may be something to check or act on.
• Paused rather than ended, so the position may change again.
