Punjab schools may close on September 28 for Shaheed Bhagat Singh Jayanti

What happened

September 28, 2026 is listed in Punjab's holiday calendar for Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary, though it appears as a restricted holiday. Reports say institutions will shut, so students should confirm with their own school circular.

Why it may matter

• Results or an outcome have been published, so there may be something to check or act on.
• Paused rather than ended, so the position may change again.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or get a job.
• Affects students in India.
