OPC Foundation Scholar Awards 2026 offer $3,000 or $4,000 for student journalists

What happened

Applications close 15 November 2026. Full-time university students who are international students in the US or US citizens studying abroad can apply. Awards fund independent journalism work or a news bureau fellowship.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• Evidence rather than policy — useful for understanding a trend.
• Useful if you are trying to explore opportunities.
• Affects students in the US.
