Tamil Nadu schools barred from holding special classes during September exam break

What happened

The state school education department told headteachers no special classes may run during the quarterly exam holidays from September 26 to October 4, 2026. Headteachers are responsible for breaches.

Why it may matter

• Results or an outcome have been published, so there may be something to check or act on.
• Approved, so it is now going ahead rather than being proposed.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or get a job.
