Google opens Student Researcher roles for PhD students for winter to summer 2027

What happened

PhD students can apply for research projects across AI, machine learning, data science and related fields. Start dates typically fall between January and August 2027, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• Something has closed. If you were relying on it, you need an alternative.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or build a startup.
