JNU opens PhD applications for 2026-27, deadline October 16

What happened

JNU is accepting PhD applications until October 16, 2026. NET and GATE scores carry 70% weightage with viva-voce 30%, while JRF holders are selected on viva-voce alone. Only NET scores from June 2025 onwards count.

Why it may matter

• This is time-bound — there is an application or deadline involved, so check the dates before they pass.
• Fewer places or less money than before — plan around it.
• Useful if you are trying to find an internship or get a job.
